01. Introduction

If you or someone you know or look after find it difficult to manage day-to-day living, you may be able to get help in the form of community care. This leaflet explains how to find out what help you may be able to get, and whether you will have to pay for it.

The leaflets in this series give you an outline of your legal rights, but they are not a complete guide to the law. If you have a problem, you will need to get more information or personal advice to work out the best way to solve it. See ‘Further help’ for sources of advice.
